Virgil Finlay's cover illustrates H. P. Lovecraft's poem "Hallowe'en in a Suburb." This was the second of only two Lovecraft covers for WEIRD TALES. The first was R. M. Mally's illustration of "Imprisoned With the Pharaohs" (May-June-July 1924) though the story was attributed to escape artist/magician Harry Houdini..
