...
who we are

A success since 1985, Yankee Classic Pictures was founded by J. P. Ouellette in Los Angeles, California. A native Bostonian, Mr. Ouellette returned to New England in 1995 to produce projects for European companies who needed a time-zone friendly service company.  He brought with him an understanding that the business of making film, television, and video projects requires level-headed professionals who put the audience and the client ahead of personal needs and that surrounding a film with the best and most talented crew and services
leads to a better and more profitable project.

Yankee Classic Pictures continues to work in New England because of the atmosphere, the work ethic, and the quality of the film and video community here.  The company has become worked with and often  sponsors events such as the Woods Hole Film Festival, the Boston Underground Film Festival, and, now, the Northampton Film Festival.

It developed the Institute for Visual Scientific Documentary (IVSD) project for Woods Hole Film Festival, Inc., is developing new avenues of film teaching with Boston Film Video Foundation,
and working towards its main objective:

THE NEW ENGLAND PROJECT
