Orne, Eliza

b. 1867.  The Arkham native who was the grandmother of the narrator.  At the age of seventeen, she married James Williamson of Cleveland Ohio in 1884.  She was the daughter of Benjamin Orne and a Marsh woman who, it was claimed, was the daughter of Enoch and Lydia (Meserve) Marsh of New Hampshire, though a closer inspection into her lineage indicates Eliza's mother may have been the granddaughter of Captain Obed Marsh and his second wife, Pth'thya-l'yi.  Eliza died when the narrator, her grandson,
was eight.
