Bloch, Robert

Robert Bloch (-) is probably best remembered as the author of "Psycho."  He was a long-time friend and protege of Lovecraft.  Lovecraft based a character on him (Robert Blake in "The Haunter of the Dark" and dedicating a poem to him (obliquely).
